The Eagle Theatre is undergoing some very exciting developments, and is now seeking talented, driven individuals to help guide the theatre to continued success. We are currently hiring for two positions: a Theatre Manager, and a Marketing and Outreach Coordinator. Please see the information below for descriptions of each individual position. Position: Theatre Manager
Summary of Job Description: The Theatre Manager will have general administrative responsibility for the operations of the organization. This is a full-time position.
Reports to: Board of Trustees
General Responsibilities:
-Handle all phone and email correspondence
-House-manage all events and performances at the theatre
-Serve as advisory member on all Board of Directors Committees
-Assist with construction of grant applications
-Collaboratively develop and facilitate theatre-sponsored workshops and non-Main Stage programming with other staff
-Reconcile box office transactions daily
-Track time sheets of employees and volunteers
-Be proficient in all in-house software/hardware, including ticketing, alarms , WordPress, & basic technical equipment (training provided)
-Schedule and lead internal management team meetings
-Coordinate training and scheduling of volunteers to ensure all events are adequately staffed
-Oversee administrative interns
Qualifications:
A Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree is preferred. Candidates should be familiar with basic office software (Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel).
The Theatre Manager position is a dynamic one, and will entail significant contact with the public. Candidates should be professional, organized, and deadline conscious, with the ability to work successfully as a member of a team, as well as independently. Prior experience in event management, program development and customer service is a plus.
Position: Marketing and Outreach Coordinator
Summary of Job Description: The Marketing and Outreach Coordinator oversees all publicity and marketing efforts. This is a full-time position.
Reports to: Theatre Manager, Board of Trustees
General Responsibilities:
-Coordinate development of graphics and information for press purposes
-Design and send email newsletters
-Update organizational website with text and graphics regularly (training will be provided)
-Represent the theatre at meetings with external community committees
-Pursue group sales leads
-Manage the theatre’s subscriber base
-Assist with grant application construction
-Attend grant and marketing workshops
-Create and maintain partnerships with external entities
-Draft and disseminate weekly press releases to media contacts
-Coordinate production and distribution of printed and digital publicity materials
-Oversee marketing interns
-Secure corporate, individual sponsorships and donations
-Reach out to schools to coordinate class trips to the theatre
Qualifications:
A Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree is preferred. Candidates should be familiar with basic office software (Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel) as well as social media platforms. Prior experience with WordPress is a plus.
The Marketing and Outreach Coordinator position is a dynamic one, and will entail significant contact with patrons, press, and the community. Candidates should be professional, organized, and deadline conscious, with the ability to work successfully both collaboratively as well as independently. They should also have excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Prior experience in marketing and public relations is a plus.
